Dallas ICE Facility Shooting: Suspect Identified as Joshua Jahn Breaking News Out of Dallas
“FBI on the scene in Dallas after a rooftop sniper attack at an ICE detention facility

Dallas, Texas, woke up to chaos after a deadly shooting at an ICE detention center left two detainees dead and another critically injured. The suspect, later identified as 29-year-old Joshua Jahn, also died after reportedly turning the weapon on himself.

How the Shooting Unfolded

Officials say the violence began just before 7 a.m. A sniper, positioned on a rooftop near the detention facility, opened fire on detainees. Witnesses described panic as shots rang out, and authorities quickly secured the area.

What’s raising eyebrows is that FBI investigators recovered bullet casings at the scene engraved with anti-ICE messages. This chilling detail suggests the attack was not random, but a deliberate strike aimed at making a statement.

No ICE Agents Hurt

Interestingly, while detainees were the victims, no ICE agents or staff were injured. This has sparked speculation about whether the shooter specifically avoided targeting officers, focusing instead on detainees. Authorities have not yet confirmed that theory, but it’s a detail many are questioning.

Who Was Joshua Jahn?

So far, little is known about Jahn’s personal history. Law enforcement has confirmed ties to North Texas and Oklahoma, but they have not revealed a criminal background or official motive. His actions, however, point to possible anger or activism against the immigration system.

A Troubling Pattern?

This attack comes just two weeks after conservative activist Charlie Kirk was shot and killed by another rooftop gunman. Two high-profile shootings in such a short space of time have people wondering — is this part of a disturbing new trend? Or is it just a tragic coincidence?

The Bigger Conversation: ICE Under Fire

Whether you agree with ICE or not, the agency has been a controversial topic in U.S. politics for years. From protests outside facilities to debates over immigration reform, ICE remains at the center of heated national conversations. Now, with shootings tied to anti-ICE sentiment, the question becomes: Is political anger spilling into violent action?

Questions for the Community

Family, this is where I want to hear from you.

  • Do you think this was an act of protest taken too far, or something more personal with Jahn?

  • Is the timing of these rooftop shootings just a coincidence, or could this be the start of a new, dangerous trend?

  • And what should ICE do now to protect detainees, staff, and the communities around them?
