Meagan Good, star of 'Harlem,' opened up about her relationship with Jonathan Majors, sharing that he tried to "protect" her from the spotlight during his assault trial. In an interview with People magazine, Good admitted she was initially hesitant to go public with their romance.

"Someone saw us at the movies and reported it," Good recalled. "We wondered, 'Should we keep it private?' But I felt people had misconceptions about him and who he dates. Eventually, they were going to find out."
Good revealed that Majors actually encouraged her not to date him to protect her from the media frenzy. "He wanted to shield me," she explained. "But I told him, ‘I’m a Black Leo and grew up in this industry. I have the strength to love someone through tough times. We knew it would be challenging, but we were ready.’"
Their relationship became public in May 2023 when TMZ reported the couple was spotted at Alamo Drafthouse. In December, Majors was found guilty of third-degree reckless assault and harassment and was sentenced to a 52-week domestic violence program.
Majors' ex-partner, Grace Jabbari, claimed he injured her during a domestic dispute in March 2023 after she found a suggestive text on his phone. She testified that Majors reacted violently when she confronted him, including hitting her head and throwing her back into the car as she tried to leave.

After the guilty verdict, two women came forward in a New York Times interview, accusing Majors of physical and emotional abuse during their relationships. Majors, through his lawyer, denied the allegations, admitting the relationships were toxic but asserting he was not abusive.
