Will Prince Harry and Meghan's Apology Be Accepted by Prince William and Kate?

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry might find it difficult to apologize to Prince William and Kate Middleton.

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry \ Prince William, Kate Middleton.

According to Charles Rae, the legendary former royal correspondent,

the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are not keen on asking for an apology, believing too much water has gone under the bridge.

Charles Rae told The Sun: “I think it is down to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex to make the first move. Whether or not it would be accepted by William and Catherine, I doubt very much it would be. There’s too much water which has gone under that bridge.”

He continued: “After everything Harry and Meghan have done with

the Oprah Winfrey interview, that Netflix show, [Harry’s book] Spare, and the flamboyant curtsey by Meghan on the show as well, there’s too much gone under the bridge now. If they’re going to make the move, I am not so sure William and Catherine would respond favorably.”

Charles added, “William’s got a lot more on his mind right now than repairing the troubles with his own brother. He’s got his wife to look after and his three children. If Harry was that keen on making some sort of move towards William, he didn’t wish him a happy 42nd birthday. Any rift in any family is very, very sad. They’re doing it in the full glare of publicity and that’s obviously ten times worse than you falling out with your brother or sister.”

Eddie Murphy Still Feels the Sting of David Spade's 'SNL' Joke

Eddie Murphy is reflecting on some of the “cheap shots” he’s faced over the years. In an interview with the New York Times

the Oscar-nominated actor and comedian discussed whether he feels he’s received unfair treatment from the press and his peers.

“Back in the old days, they used to be relentless on me, and a lot of it was racist stuff,” Murphy said.

Murphy mentioned how different things were in the 1980s and brought up an incident involving David Spade on “Saturday Night Live.” In a December 1995 episode, Spade did a “Hollywood Minute” segment with a picture of Murphy, commenting, “Look children, it’s a falling star. Make a wish.” The joke came after Murphy's film “Vampire in Brooklyn” had flopped.

“It was like: ‘Yo, it’s in-house! I’m one of the family, and you’re f-king with me like that?’ It hurt my feelings,” Murphy said.

Murphy rose to stardom on “SNL” from 1980 to 1984 and is often credited with saving the show from cancellation. He felt the joke was personal and even racist. “All the people that have been on that show, you’ve never heard nobody make no joke about anybody’s career. Most people who get off that show don’t go on and have these amazing careers. It was personal,” he added. “It was like, ‘Yo, how could you do that?’”

Spade later wrote about feeling horrible after receiving a phone call from an upset Murphy, admitting, “Everybody in showbiz wants people to like them. But when you get reamed in a sketch or online, that stinks.”

Murphy has mostly avoided “SNL” over the years, though he appeared briefly in the 2015 40th anniversary special and returned as a host in 2019.

“In the long run, it’s all good; it worked out great. I’m cool with David Spade, and I’m cool with Lorne Michaels. I went back to SNL,” Murphy said this week. “It’s all love... but I had a couple of cheap shots!”

King Charles' Monarchy 'Fragile' Without Kate Middleton

King Charles is losing significance in the monarchy amid Kate Middleton's health battle.

 King Charles /Kate Middleton

King Charles’ monarchy is seemingly losing its significance as Kate Middleton battles cancer.

A significant part of the system, Kate, has been absent from public engagements due to her diagnosis and chemotherapy, making things look tough for the monarchy.

Patrick Jephson, the former private secretary to Diana, states: “Without Catherine, it all seems rather flat. The future of the monarchy is William and Catherine,” he says, speaking to Vanity Fair.

“And, as we know from any superficial study of the British royal family, it’s the women who pull the show together, who get out there and make things happen.

"So how fragile is the monarchy? Well, it’s as fragile as Catherine is and at the moment, we don’t know,” he notes.

Prince William and Kate are parents to Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis. The couple tied the knot in 2011 at Westminster Abbey after a decade of dating. In September 2023, they were bestowed the titles of Prince and Princess of Wales after the death of Queen Elizabeth II

Queen Camilla Meets Actor Henry Winkler at Royal Ascot

King Charles and Queen Camilla's Astonishing Royal Ascot Appearance

King Charles and Queen Camilla were all smiles and in high spirits as they led this year's final procession at Royal Ascot on Saturday. The royal presence at Ascot has been strong, with King Charles missing only one day (Wednesday) due to his ongoing cancer treatment. During his absence, Camilla led the procession until the monarch's return on Thursday.

The 76-year-old Queen Camilla was spotted meeting actor Henry Winkler, best known as The Fonz on Happy Days. Camilla looked stylish in a pale blush coat for the fifth day of the races, paired with a cream hat and a statement choker featuring three strands of pearls. The eye-catching piece, with a purple center stone, belonged to the Queen Mother.

Prince William and Harry's father Charles, 75, looked dashing in a classic top hat and tails, pairing a grey suit with a pale grey waistcoat and lavender tie. He completed his outfit with black shoes, a large black umbrella, and a black top hat.

The King and Queen led the carriage procession alongside Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the former emir of Qatar, and Lady Charles Spencer-Churchill. This year's Royal Ascot has been eventful, with many high-profile guests attending. Zara and Mike Tindall, Princess Eugenie, Princess Anne, and others were seen watching the races. Lady Gabriella Windsor made her first official public appearance at the event following her husband's tragic death earlier this year.

The Princess of Wales' parents, Carole and Michael Middleton, attended the second day of Royal Ascot, marking their first public appearance since their daughter's cancer diagnosis was made public. Prince William spent time with his in-laws that day, though his wife Kate Middleton was absent due to her ongoing cancer treatment.
